Book Signing - Dan Guthrie

On Saturday August 1, 2009 from 5-7pm there will be an in store book signing at the Hastings Store on 2020 S Georgia Street in Amarillo, Texas with Dan Guthrie the author of A Haunted Life.

Charity Buyback Fundraiser

During the month of July the Hastings store on 2020 S Georgia Street in Amarillo, Texas will be having a Charity Buyback fundraiser to benefit the Amarillo Museum of Art. When you sell back your used items back to the store you can choose to donate your money to the Amarillo Museum of Art. All proceeds will be used toward the purchase of a Madame Récamier painting. On July 31, 2009 the Amarillo museum of art will bring the painting into the store and there will be drawings every 15 minutes for Amarillo Museum of Art family memberships, art posters and Hastings gift cards.

Fredrick W Nolan - Book Signing

On Monday, July 20, 2009 from 6-8pm there will be an in store book signing by bestselling English author Fredrick W Nolan at the Hastings Store on 2020 S Georgia Street in Amarillo, Texas.

10 Weeks of Discovery

Join us inside the Hastings Store on 2020 S. Georgia Street in Amarillo, TX on Thursday, July 16, 2009 for our 6th week of Ten Weeks of Discovery. This week is Writing Week and from 6-7pm Telemundo anchors Miguel and Sulema along with Irma from News Channel 10 will be reading to the children as part of the Summer Reading Club.From 7-8pm stations will set up inside the store and children with have the opportunity to participate and learn about collaborative story writing, writing biographies and illustration. Snacks will be provided by Chick-Fil-A. After the event, each child will receive a book to take home.

Join us for Music Week!

Join us tonight from 6-8pm at our Georgia Street store on 2020 S. Georgia Street in Amarillo, TX for our our 5th workshop of our Ten Weeks of Discovery Event! This week is music week; your children will be learning music basics and participating in a sing a long and percussion session. There will also be a quartet from the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra.

Hastings Corner Artspace

Join us at 6 pm tomorrow night at the Hardback Coffee Café inside the Hastings store on 2020 S. Georgia Street in Amarillo, TX for another Hastings Corner Artspace event. This week we will be featuring the works of J. Sloane Snure Paullus and his collection Baroque Icons for the Information Age. There will be live music and the Hardback Coffee Café will be open for drink purchases.

10 Weeks of Discovery Theater Week - This Thursday

Just a reminder that our 4th workshop in our Ten Weeks of Discovery event happens tomorrow night from 6-8pm at the Georgia Street Hastings store located at 2020 S. Georgia Street in Amarillo, TX. It is theatre week and we will have 4 stations set up where your kids can create costumes learn how to apply character makeup and act out character roles. It will be fun and a little messy so make sure to bring an old shirt!
